By the grace of God, we want to be a church that has the following qualities:
LIFE-CHANGING A LIVING AND GIVING CHURCH
We are a life-oriented church. We aim to build life and not just knowledge. We value living out of the word of God and not just an accumulation of the knowledge of the word of God. We want to help people to find the value of their life and live it out.
We are a church that is cell-oriented because we value life change through relationships. Cell group in our church is not just another program.
We want to raise up people whose own lives are changed by God and who will reproduce the life of God in the lives of others.
We are a giving church–the people of this church understand that the abundant life that Jesus gives us is a life of giving and not a life of getting. Their lives are a witness to the words of Jesus that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
HIGH-SPIRITED A YOUTHFUL AND ENERGETIC CHURCH
We are a deliberately youthful church–young people will find it exciting to be a part of our church and their lives will be energised with mission and vision. We are enthusiastic and energetic in what we do and youth will find their self-confidence and faith in God will be heightened.
While we understand the importance of this adult generation, but we are strong in raising up the next generation. We believe in young people and release them to serve God in their lives while they are still young.
We believe that adults in our church will also be influenced by this spirit and will be more youthful and energetic people who value giving and serving with enthusiasm.
OUTWARD-INCLINED A COMPASSIONATE AND MISSIONAL CHURCH
We are not a traditional and attractional church. We want to bring God to the people and not bringing the people to the church–being the salt and light to the community around us.
We are a compassionate church–building a people with a heart for the needy people of our community. Although we started with a predominately Chinese congregation, we do not want to just focus on the Chinese community–we are ready to be a church for needy–whatever ethnic background they may have. We want to become a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural church.
We are an outward church–building a people with a missional heart. We want our people to be spending much of their time with people who do not know God–rather than just with Christians.
We are a mission church–have concern for people of this world who does not have opportunity to know Jesus (unreached people and unreached places). We want to give people an opportunity to hear the gospel at least once in their life time.
NETWORK-BUILDING A SERVING AND CHRIST-BODY CHURCH
We are a church that recognises that the Body of Christ is much greater than just our church and that we are a part of the whole Body. Other churches in our community and beyond are just as important as ours.
We are a networking church–we desire to work with other churches in our community and are happy to contribute and help other churches when there is an opportunity.
